-Bunny Guide-
*Bunnies can be kept inside and/or outside. I keep my bunnies outside, but it's up to you. If you are keeping them outside remember to fill their water bottles, especially if the weather is really hot. In the summer I fill water bottles and freeze them. I give each bunny 1-2 frozen water bottles so they can lay on or beside them (helps them not have a heat stroke).
*Bunnies need to be groomed once or twice a week. Their fur gets tangled up and causes knots (especially Double Maned Lionheads).
*Bunnies need attention. Play with them 30 minutes a day or more. More interaction the better! It helps your bunny get to know you and trust you.
*Bunnies need free time. Let them roam/play in the backyard or your house. They need to get out of the cage everyday for about an hour or two. Make sure the yard is secure so they don't escape. Bunnies love to dig holes.
*Bunnies need to have their nails cut. Who would want a bunny with sharp claws? I know I wouldn't want those scratching me!
*Bunnies will fight! Two Bucks will fight each other. Two Does will fight each other. Try to keep each bunny separated and in their own cage. If you have a Doe and a Buck they will mate in a blink of an eye. Get them neutered/spayed if you don't want baby bunnies hopping around.
*Bonding: There is a chance you can have two of the same gender living together. It's called Bonding. There may be some fights here and there, but that is part of the process of pairing them together. See the link below under "Helpful Links" on how to pair/bond your bunnies.
*If your Bunny is sick and you don't know what to do, take them to a Vet right away. Check out the links below for more info.
